Great Dane Throws A Tantrum Because His Dad Tries To Sleep In His Bed

We've all heard someone say that cats are evil because they try to wake you up when you're napping, right? However, dogs are also creatures of habit, especially Great Danes. Owning a Great Dane is similar to parenting a sassy, whiny toddler at times. One Great Dane, Henry, proves this point. He showed his disdain quite clearly when his human dad tried sleeping in his bed.

When his dad decided that he was going to take a nap in Henry's bed, Henry decided to express his dissatisfaction. Clearly, this was Henry's spot, and his dad wasn't allowed to be there. It's against the rules, and, based on the way Henry reacts, relatively annoying.

We understand why Henry is annoyed. Much like the classic children's tale, Goldilocks, no one likes finding a person who doesn't belong there sleeping in their bed. And while for a smaller dog, it's easy to find another comfortable place to sleep, large dogs have fewer options.

They're large and take up quite a lot of space. Finding a comfortable and soft sleeping spot that isn't their bed can be almost impossible sometimes. It's only fair that they decide to defend their beds from the naps of family and strangers.

Thankfully, his family caught Henry's adorable and grumpy reaction to his dad "napping" in his bed on camera. We see that it takes almost no time at all for Henry to address his dad's terrible crime. He comes over to the bed, a very serious look on his face, and grumbles loudly. His dad thanks him for being so willing to share the bed. Almost immediately, Henry tries to nudge his dad out of bed with his paw and face.

His dad only continues to laugh at Henry's clear displeasure, pointing out that Henry frequently tries to sleep on his bed, so sharing is only fair. Henry doesn't take kindly to this, and reasonably so. He leans forward, barking at his father and using a paw to try to remove his father. Dad doesn't budge, though, so Henry starts stepping on the bed itself, using the top of his head to push lightly at his dad.

When dad starts yelling at him, "No, no horseplay," and pushes him away, Henry gets excited. He's trying to find a clever way to trick his dad out of laying in his bed. Unfortunately for Henry, it doesn't work — his dad lays down again, and Henry once again has to try to convince him this isn't acceptable.

Finally, his dad complies, getting out of bed. What makes it more adorable? Henry doesn't even lay down in his bed. He's decided he's defended it well enough, and he wanders off the screen.

Clearly, Henry isn't great at sharing. But watching him throw an adorable temper tantrum because his dad wants to share his bed — which Henry isn't currently using - is absolutely adorable. He tries everything he can think of to get his dad to understand that he has his own bed that he can go nap in.

Henry's bed is Henry's, and only his. It's only fair, though. Where else is a dog that big supposed to sleep? On the floor? No way, he's far too precious to do something like that. His bed must be available to him at all times, in case he needs a nap. His dad can sleep somewhere else, obviously.

We can tell Henry isn't really angryhe's not growling or on his haunchesbut he would definitely prefer if his dad found somewhere else to sleep, thank you very much.
