Olivia Newton-John might be battling cancer for the third time, but she isn’t letting that hold her back.

The Australian actress sat down for an interview earlier this week, where she shared that she feels good about her battle against the illness, and has made it her mission to help other cancer patients as well.

Speaking to People Magazine, Newton-John gave an update on her ongoing battle with cancer.

“I’m winning over it well and that’s how I see it,” she said. “I don’t think about it a lot, to be honest. Denial is a really good thing and I’m getting stronger and better all the time! I’m doing well!”

Despite her diagnosis, the 71-year-old remains active, hosting fundraisers for the Australian Bushfires and auctioning off memorabilia items from Grease for charity. Her latest project? She says she wants to help others who are also battling breast cancer.

“Life is a gift and I’ve had an amazing life and I intend to keep going with it and I want to help other people with cancer of course,” she told the publication. “I have my wellness center in Melbourne and I want to see it in my lifetime so other people don’t have to suffer.”

Newton-John was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 and then again 21 years later in 2013, with her defeating the illness both times. In 2017, doctors told her her cancer had metastasized and spread to her bones.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight last year, the 71-year-old said she isn’t interested in finding out how long she has left to live.

“If somebody tells you you have six months to live very possibly you will because you believe that,” she said.

We’re so glad Olivia is doing well! Make sure you pass this along to your friends and family.
