Now, scientists have discovered that grandparents who regularly babysit their grandkids are less likely to develop dementia and Alzheimer’s. A study in Australia followed 120 grandparents and learnt that those who babysat their grandchildren once a week reached a higher score on various cognitive tests.

However, too much babysitting created the opposite results. Grandparents babysitting 5 or more times a week didn’t score well. So keep in mind that you should have another babysitter next to your parent, so that their health won’t suffer.

Another research has come to the result that any form of interaction with other human beings leads to a happier and healthier state of mind. Grandparents babysitting once a week are much more likely to be satisfied because they find themselves having purpose and receiving love.
