Sandy Vanderstine is currently in her third battle with cancer. This time around, it is brain cancer that is taken its toll on Vanderstine's body. Fortunately for Vanderstine, she has amazing support from her family to get her through these challenging times.
Vanderstine's seven grandchildren are a critical part of her support system. Nicknamed "The Magnificent Seven," these seven grandchildren are determined to show their grandmother how much they love her.

During a recent hospitalization following stem-cell transplant surgery, the seven children wanted to visit the grandmother that they affectionally call "Mommom." However, because of the risk of infection, hospital rules prohibited the kids from visiting their grandmother in her room.
That rule did not stop these supportive grandchildren from showing their support for their grandmother in her battle. The kids got in touch with their creative sides and made a banner that they could display from outside of their Mommom's room.
Vanderstine's daughter, Nicole Weidle, posted a picture of the banner on her Facebook. It is clear that this family will be there for their grandmother through all of her health struggles.
In addition to the creative banner, the kids also showered their grandmother with letters and cards for Mommom to enjoy during the stay in the hospital.
"They're always looking to take care of me and they hold me up when I’m sick, they’ve been wonderful," she told FOX 29.
