Everyone loves a good family reunion. It's great to see relatives that we may not have seen in a few years and finally get the chance to really catch up with each other. For one pair of siblings, their most recent reunion was one of the most heartwarming and memorable moments in each other's lives.

Mary Pine is a 95-year-old grandmother and her brother, Bob Taylor, is an 84-year-old grandfather. The pair are extremely close and talk on the phone every single day. Unfortunately, they have not been able to see each other in almost half a decade due to the ongoing pandemic and the fact that Pine was moved into an assisted living facility. On top of that, they also live in separate states, making it difficult to see each other as often as they wish they could.

Despite the distance, this brother-sister duo have remained incredibly close with each other and have time and time again gone out of their way to show just how much they really care for their sibling. In July 2021, Taylor decided that he wanted to do something extra special for his older sister's birthday.

With the help of his granddaughters, he figured out a way to get from his home in Atlanta, Georgia, all the way up to where Pine lived in Ambler, Pennsylvania, for the best birthday present the 95-year-old could have ever hoped to receive. The heartwarming moment was captured on video, tugging at the heartstrings of many. Read on to find out more about this beautiful birthday surprise.

The First Time They Saw Each Other In Years

Pine and Taylor are extremely close siblings, but they unfortunately don't get to see each other as often as they would like. In fact, they hadn't seen each other in about five years, until Taylor decided to make a cross-country trip to visit his older sister in her assisted living home. According to Happily News, the pair has a history of surprises; the last time they saw each other was when Pine traveled all the way to Atlanta to surprise Taylor a few years back.

So, on July 4, 2021, Taylor decided it was time to return the favor and celebrate his sister's birthday in the best possible way. Happily News reported that Taylor had two of his granddaughters — Morgan, 27, and Kenzie, 24 — help him make the long journey to Ambler. The drive took about 13 hours to complete with the group only stopping for bathroom breaks and gas.

Pine was called into a room at the living facility and was shocked when she saw a face she hadn't seen in years. Recorded by their family members, the beautiful moment Pine and Taylor were finally reunited was captured and uploaded online for the world to see. Pine's jaw dropped the second she saw Taylor, and she began to cry as they hugged each other tightly.

It was clear that the two had missed each other dearly and that their relationship was still as strong as ever. It was a beautiful, heartwarming moment between the brother-sister duo, and hopefully they'll be able to see each other for their next big life event!
