Oct 31, 2020 by apost team

There are all sorts of dances out there that young kids and older folks listen to. One of the more popular ones is a rap song we have all definitely heard: Silentó's Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).

Millions of people have danced and jumped to this song since it became popular in 2015. It is still a dance that is done in the clubs and in the privacy of our homes. With that said, we did not expect the 86-year-old grandma in this popular 2015 video to bust a move to this song! And while we can’t seem to trace the origin of the video, we found it on the internet and loved it.

Be sure to reach the end of this article to see the full video :-)

If you do a search for the dance online, you are sure to come up with hundreds of hits. YouTube is full of people, young and old, male and female, who are seriously stoked to perform this fun song for the enjoyment of others. That’s because it is easy to do and has a very catchy beat. Don’t ask us what the reason is — we just know that everyone seems to really love this song.

However, you’ll probably be shocked to see just who is dancing in this particular video. It’s not a young kid or even a middle-aged man trying his best on the dance floor. No, it is an 86-year-old lady, a grandmother who is able to keep up with any of the dancers you may have already seen.

That is because she truly has the moves needed for this dance!

It may not be our first choice in music. However, we are glad it has inspired so many people to get up and move. This is so true for this video. Grandma knows the moves and pops it to the beat.

Her rhythm is perfectly in-tune with the song. She has a smile on her face and joy in her heart as she dances along to the music. You can tell she is a happy soul who loves her life. I hope that I am as happy as she is when I get to be that age!

Watching her move to music is truly inspiring. It just proves that age really is just a number. It is all about attitude for sure! Getting up and dancing to the music is something we should all do more of. After watching how easy it was for her, I am totally getting ready to shake it to the beat!
