Grandma Gets New Lease On Life With Silky Blonde Bob

Many women feel like they're forced to be the caretakers of their family. They're expected to take care of their spouses, their friends, their children and their grandchildren.

When do they get time to take care of themselves? As you're about to see, one woman decided to make a change. Brenda signed up for a makeover because it was time to do something for herself.

The star of today's video is Brenda, a 68-year-old woman from Salt Lake City, Utah. She tells us that she's been a stay-at-home mom for her entire adult life. For the past several decades, she's been taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. While it's a labor of love, she's decided that she needs to treat herself once in a while. And that brought her to the Makeover Guy.

Brenda also points out that women tend to put themselves last and take care of everyone else's needs before their own. It's time for Brenda to do something for herself and boost her self-confidence. She takes care of everybody else--now it's time for the Makeover Guy to take care of her. And she's open to anything. She says she doesn't care what the Makeover Guy does, whether he cuts her hair, colors it or applies makeup.

Once she's gotten her makeover, the new Brenda is completely unrecognizable. Her dark hair has been dyed blonde, cut short and swept up in a trendy wave style. Her foundation and makeup make her look at least thirty years younger. She wears fashionable jewelry and an attractive teal blouse. The Makeover Guy has clearly changed Brenda's life for the better!

And Brenda's just as thrilled with her makeover as we are. She says "I have so much more self confidence right now!" She says that she's full of energy and can't wait to get out there and start enjoying her life again.

Brenda also admits that she used her long hair as a "security blanket." Since everyone else complimented her on it, she decided to keep it long. But today, she's ready for a change. Brenda is thrilled to get most of her hair chopped off and start fresh with a completely new style.

When you look at the side-by-side footage, you won't believe that this is the same person. In the "before" clips, Brenda looked quiet and introverted. After the makeover, Brenda looks rejuvenated and full of life. She's happy, excited and ready to take on whatever life throws at her. She doesn't have to limit herself to being a caretaker anymore. Now Brenda's ready to live life on her own terms.

At the end of the clip, Brenda talks and laughs and invites the Makeover Guy into a impromptu singing session. She looks younger than she has in decades. Her smile is infectious, and it's clear that she's brimming with self-confidence. We're thrilled that Brenda has finally discovered her inner beauty.
