Grandma Arrives In Order To Meet Newborn And Learns Daughter Concealed Second Child

Typically, they know how many babies they are having long before the big day. This information is rarely kept secret. However, one couple surprised the new grandmother by introducing her to a second granddaughter minutes after meeting the first.

When Anna Williams found out she was pregnant, she told her mother. Later in the pregnancy, the doctor informed her to prepare for twin daughters. After discussing it with her husband, Joe, they decided to keep the second child a secret from their family and friends. They also designed a fantastic way for Anna’s mother to learn that Anna had twins.
Keeping this secret required thought and preparation. They had to be sure to say “when she comes” instead of “when they come.” All references to the impending birth had to hide the news that she expected twins.

After the babies were born, Anna’s mother came to the room to meet the new child, as seen in the video Anna posted on her YouTube channel. Her daughter presented her with one-half of the set. Anna’s mother sat in a chair, staring and cooing at her new granddaughter. She lost herself entirely in the new baby.
Anna’s mother maintained such an intense focus that she completely missed the nurse rolling the second baby into the room. When Anna’s mother failed to notice the new baby in the room, she told her mother, “there’s a Santa delivery too.”
Only at this point does Anna’s mother look up and notice the second child. She stares in shocked silence for a few seconds before asking, “How did you keep this a secret?” Joe brings the baby to her to hold. Anna’s mother holds both infants in her arms, clearly overcome with the emotion generated by the unexpected delivery.
