Granddaughter Surprises 84-Year-Old Grandpa At Baseball Game & Leaves Him In Tears

Grandparents are arguably some of the best people to be with. Having lived life to the fullest, they can be full of wisdom and could teach us some of the best lessons in life we never knew we needed. They might not always be physically on our side, but they are always there cheering for us on the sidelines. We might not be the best dancers or singers, but we will always be the best in our eyes. Most importantly, we can always count on them whenever we need a shoulder to cry on. Sometimes, the best way to give back is to show them how much we love them – even if it means traveling hundreds of miles away. As they say, you can never turn back time.

A little girl did just that – all because she loves her grandfather. TikTok user Laura Decker, who has the handle l.e.decker, shared an adorable video of her daughter who drove 500 miles to see her grandfather play for a memorial baseball game in honor of her late grandmother. The little girl's mom knew her daughter's presence would make her grandfather happy. So, they drove there to see him.

In the video, the little girl can be seen running toward her grandfather. Right after seeing his granddaughter, he immediately put down the papers he was holding and hugged the little girl as tight as he could. Everyone then started screaming "surprise," leaving the grandfather in tears.

"When Papa cries, everyone cries," wrote the uploader in the caption of the TikTok video.

Her daughter then tried to comfort him after he broke down in tears. Of course, people who have seen the emotional video were also moved by the touching moment between the grandpa and the little girl.

"Ow my heart. What a sweet man. I know your grandma must have been cherished by that man!" one user said.

"Now we all are crying! I know he won that game! Beautiful moment to capture," one user wrote.

"I lost my grandfather 3 months ago. I am sobbing. Hold him tight. Enjoy EVERY memory! Take so many pictures," one other user remarked.

But the grandfather received not only one but two surprises that day after his granddaughter delivered a piece of exciting news. He had one of the most priceless reactions when his granddaughter told him that he was getting his 7th grandchild in a separate video shared by Decker on TikTok.

"There's a baby in Mama's belly," the little girl told her grandfather. To which he simply reacted by breaking down in tears.

"It's short and sweet, but we captured it! So many tears that day!" Decker said.

Some people shared how they suddenly missed their dads after seeing the video.

"What a sweet grandpa. You are blessed. I miss my Papa every second of every day. Love him," one user said. "We all need more of this sweet man," another user wrote.

Meanwhile, people also started asking Decker to share a video of her dad from the baseball game.

In the video, his 84-year-old dad can be seen in action and giving his best with every bat. Some of the people on TikTok took notice of how fast he could run, praising him for staying active despite his age.

"He's in better shape than me. just love him," one user wrote.

"Jesus, I'm 40 and can't even walk fast let alone run like him at 80!! He's incredible," another user said.
