Grace Kelly’s Granddaughter Wows At Monaco Gala As She Channels Her Famous Grandmother

Grace Kelly may have passed away more than four decades ago, but her legendary elegance continues to live on through her family.

Kelly, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, became one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actresses in the 1950s. She starred in classic films such as “Rear Window,” “Dial M for Murder,” and “To Catch a Thief” before retiring from acting after marrying Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956.

Together, Kelly and Rainier III had three children — Caroline, Princess of Hanover, Albert II, Prince of Monaco, and Princess Stéphanie. After Rainier III passed due to complications related to a lung infection, he was succeeded by his son.

The late Hollywood actress’s granddaughter, Camille Gottlieb, stepped into the spotlight at a glamorous Monaco charity gala, where she made an impression with her sophisticated style and striking resemblance to her famous grandmother.

Although part of the royal family, Camille is actually not eligible for the line of succession due to the fact that her parents were never married, and the personal details surrounding the family have been kept relatively private. Although her birth certificate did not name her father, Camille was widely believed to be the daughter of Princess Stéphanie’s former head of security, Jean-Raymond Gottlieb, whom she has acknowledged as her father. As her parents never married, she is excluded from Monaco’s line of succession.

The 28-year-old attended the second Monaco Global Gift Gala on Oct. 9, 2026, alongside her mother, Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, and other members of the princely family. The star-studded event brought together prominent names from entertainment, philanthropy and Monaco’s royal circle.

Camille’s appearance was particularly fitting, as she has increasingly established herself as a force in Monaco’s charitable and social scene. She also co-founded CMC Consulting, an events and communications agency that helped organize the gala.

The event supported charitable causes, including initiatives connected to the Global Gift Foundation and Fight AIDS Monaco, the organization led by Princess Stéphanie.

Camille’s growing involvement in philanthropy shows she is carving out an identity beyond her famous family name.

Born on July 15, 1998, Camille is the youngest child of Princess Stéphanie. She has two older half-siblings, Pauline Ducruet and Louis Ducruet.

Although Camille never had the opportunity to meet her grandmother, Kelly, the resemblance between the pair has repeatedly caught the public’s attention. Kelly's life was cut short when, at the age of 52, she had a stroke while driving her car, lost control of the vehicle, and wound up in a car accident, along with her daughter Princess Stephanie, who was 17 at the time. Grace died, but Stéphanie survived.

As Princess Grace, she became an enduring symbol of elegance, balancing her royal responsibilities with charitable work and a commitment to helping others.

Camille has previously spoken about the comparisons between herself and her grandmother. In a 2025 appearance at the Monaco Red Cross Ball, she paid tribute to Kelly by wearing a modern gown inspired by the iconic black-and-white dress the actress wore in “Rear Window.”

The look demonstrated how the younger generation of the Grimaldi family continues to celebrate Kelly’s enduring fashion legacy.

While Camille’s resemblance to Kelly often attracts attention, the Monaco royal has also developed a reputation for her charitable work.

She has been involved with Monaco’s Red Cross youth division since 2021 and founded Be Safe Monaco, an initiative focused on raising awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving.

Her work reflects a commitment to social causes that echoes her grandmother’s dedication to philanthropy.

Kelly established the Princess Grace Foundation in 1964 to support local artisans and also devoted herself to children’s welfare through organizations such as AMADE Mondiale.

Although Camille never knew her grandmother personally, her connection to Grace remains an important part of her public story.

With her growing professional responsibilities, charitable commitments and unmistakable family resemblance, Camille is proving that she can honor her grandmother’s memory while forging a distinctive path of her own.
