Grace Kelly’s Granddaughter Camille Bears A Striking Resemblance To The Late Princess

Grace Kelly was a legendary American actress that starred in many prominent films in the early to mid-1950s. In April 1956, Kelly became Princess Grace of Monaco by marrying Prince Rainier III. 

Kelly rose to fame after graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1949. One of her first popular film appearances was in “Mogambo” in 1953, which also starred Clark Gable and Ava Gardner. Kelly was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Linda Nordley.

A year later, Kelly won the Academy Award for her performance in the film “The Country Girl.” The star is also remembered for her work in Hitchcock's “Rear Window,” “Dial M for Murder” and “To Catch a Thief.” The actress retired from show business at age 26 in order to devote her time to her princess duties after marrying Prince Rainier III. 

Kelly took her role as a princess very seriously and dedicated her time to helping others.

In 1964, the star created the Princess Grace Foundation which supported local artisans. She also focused her charity work on children and created the organization AMADE Mondiale, which supports the development, education, and health of children worldwide. The organization even gained consultative status with UNICEF and UNESCO. 

Prince Rainier and Princess Grace had three children together, Princess Caroline, Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie. Her children grew up well and had kids of their own. Altogether Kelly has 11 grandchildren, including Camille Gottlieb. Today, Camille is a beautiful woman who bears a striking resemblance to her late grandmother.

Grace Kelly was not only an iconic actress, but the film star became a member of royalty when she married Prince Rainier III of Monaco. The then 26-year-old starlet had to retire from acting due to her royal duties and instead started a family with the prince.

Considered one of Hollywood's greats, Kelly had an incredibly short career for a film star, working for only six years. However, she was very prolific in that time, appearing in a number of television shows and over a dozen movies, as well as winning an Academy Award and Golden Globe.

Born in Philadelphia, Kelly began performing in theatrical productions in New York City at the age of 20. It wasn't long before she headed to Hollywood to star in film and television and quickly became a leading lady during the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Notable films during her time as an actress include “Mogambo,” starring opposite Clark Gable and Ava Gardner, which earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress, and “The Country Girl” with Bing Crosby, which won her an Oscar, also for Best Supporting Actress. 

She went on to appear in other memorable films. Other iconic roles include three Alfred Hitchcock films — “Dial M For Murder,” “Rear Window” and “To Catch a Thief” with Cary Grant.

Clearly, Kelly was making a true name for herself in the entertainment world, as she had already starred in several significant films. She was easily one of the most recognized actresses during this time, and her talent continued to take her to newer heights.

Afterward, the accomplished actress went on to portray Princess Alexandra in the film “The Swan” opposite Alec Guinness and Louis Jourdan. Who would have thought that Kelly would one day move from playing a princess to actually becoming a member of a royal family?

Still, the actress persisted with her career. However, her final role was in the musical film “High Society,” which was a remake of the 1939 play “The Philadelphia Story.” Kelly worked alongside Crosby once again, as well as Frank Sinatra.

But when Kelly found love with Monaco royalty, she had to quit Hollywood as she couldn't continue her acting career. Instead, she married Prince Rainier III and became the Princess of Monaco. 

Their marriage sparked plenty of media attention and the royal couple stayed in the spotlight for the remainder of their lives. Kelly’s husband held onto his title until his death in April 2005, ruling the Principality of Monaco for almost 56 years. To this day, Prince Rainier III is still considered one of the longest-ruling monarchs in European history. 

Together Kelly and Rainier II had three children — Caroline, Princess of Hanover, Albert II, Prince of Monaco, and Princess Stéphanie. After Rainier III passed due to complications related to a lung infection, he was succeeded by his son.

Albert II also helped establish the Princess Grace Awards in 1984, just a few years after his mother also passed away. The awards were created to help recognize emerging performers in the film, theater and dance industries. To this day, the charity organization still helps these up-and-coming stars by honoring them in the form of awards, grants, scholarships and fellowships.

Kelly's life was cut short, when at the age of 52 she had a stroke while driving her car, lost control of the vehicle, and wound up in a car accident, along with her daughter Princess Stephanie, who was 17 at the time. Grace died but Stephanie survived.

Kelly’s legacy has continued to be remembered today thanks in part to her family. Her three children have had 11 children of their own, but one of her grandchildren bears a striking resemblance to the gorgeous film star. The daughter of Princess Stéphanie and Jean Raymond Gottlieb, Camille Gottlieb is the doppelganger of her grandmother, with her fair features and piercing blue eyes.

Camille was born on July 15, 1998, at Princess Grace Hospital Centre in La Colle, Monaco. She is currently 23 years old. Even though she comes from royalty, Camille is actually not eligible for the line of succession due to the fact that her parents were never married, and the personal details surrounding the family had been kept relatively private.

Residing in Monaco, Camille has two older half-siblings, and her half-sister Pauline Ducruet also bears a striking resemblance to their grandmother. Since Camille was born out of wedlock, her father was a big mystery during her childhood. His name was at first kept secret and even her birth certificate, according to Town & Country Magazine, did not list him. The secret was lifted when Camille herself named palace guard Jean-Raymond Gottlieb as her father later in life.
Active on Instagram, Camille has nearly 90,000 followers, to whom she posts many pictures of her life and photos of herself, in which the resemblance to her famous movie star grandmother is evident.
