Goldie Hawn Says Longtime Partner Kurt Russell Always Makes Her Feel Beautiful

At 37-years-strong, Goldie Hawn, 73, still refuses to take her longtime partner Kurt Russell, 69, for granted. 

And even after being together for almost four decades, the legendary actress claims Russell still makes her feel beautiful. 

Speaking to People magazine, Goldie Hawn opened up about her relationship with Russell.

 “The other night we were going to go have dinner. He looks at me and goes, ‘You’re unbelievable,'” Hawn fondly recalled.

 “‘He said I cannot believe how [beautiful] you look.’ He really appreciates that.”

Hawn’s 41-year-old daughter actress Kate Hudson said she admires her mother’s relationship to Russell, who she affectionately refers to as ‘Pa’. She even went so far as to describe their courtship as “really the goal.”

“You and Pa have been together for so long and sometimes I look at it and I’m like, How do you guys do it?'” Hudson admitted. “I’m still working on that.”

Hudson explained how Russell and Hudson have maintained a unit for the family, even through times of turmoil. “They really are the center of all of our lives,” she said, before adding that the two “complement each other well.”

“Mom is kinetic and she is a butterfly. And Pa likes his family and his home. But when they’re together, it’s so powerful.” 

Hawn agreed with her daughter that Russell can be low-key. “He can sit and watch his games. He loves golf and you know, he loves his home. In the meantime, I say, ‘So no bike ride?'” she admitted with a giggle.

Over the years, Hawn says she and Russell have established a harmonic balance in their relationship, something she feels is crucial for any relationship to be successful.

“You want to stay in your power, but you also want to be forgiving. And you want to understand and have compassion for the other person,” she explained. “If you cannot do that, then you’re not giving yourself a real fair chance at a long-term relationship. And that’s a lesson that we all have to learn.”
