Goldie Hawn recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen—via video stream from the safety of her own home, amid the coronavirus lockdown—and she was asked what good movies she's watched lately.

One of them happened to be her 1987 film Overboard, in which she co-starred with her longtime partner Kurt Russell. She described how they watched it together in bed and reminisced on old times.

Asked by Andy if she ever watches her own movies, Goldie was quick to say no. She explained: "I don't do any. I never watch my movies, and I don't do it because I say 'Oh I don't want to watch my movie,' I just, I did it." Having lived the experience already is certainly an understandable reason for not rewatching her own films.

But she did let out that there was one time when Kurt and her were in bed getting ready to "snuggle" and the TV was on, when incidentally their film Overboard came on. She describes the moment: "So the two of us forgot about, you know, what we were gonna do and we ended up watching the movie. It was so fabulous."

The two obviously enjoyed themselves, as they began to reminisce on the filming of various scenes. Goldie mimicked their reactions saying: "'Oh God remember that one? That was funnier than I thought'...it was great!" What a wonderful moment that the two were able to relive together decades later!

Goldie, 74, and Kurt, 69, are an iconic Hollywood couple who've been together for 37 years. After meeting initially in 1966, they eventually began dating in 1983, before going on to star in various films together including Overboard

Another movie that Goldie raved about in the interview was the comedy Best In Show, which prompted her to discuss how "healthy" laughter is. She explained to Andy:

"Knowing what we know about laughter, really the science of laughter and the biology of laughter...it actually heals you," before adding, "This is a really important part of living." She's not wrong about the positive effects of laughter, and perhaps it's something we could all pay more attention to. At 74, Goldie Hawn looks fabulous and perhaps laughter is her secret trick.

Finishing the interview, Andy asked Goldie which of her children would she turn to if she needed a "positivity pep talk"—Kate or Oliver? Both of her kids are well-known actors, so she no doubt felt the pressure of how to answer.

Goldie, ever the diplomat, thinks for a moment and concedes it's a good question, before answering graciously that "they give [her] positivity in different ways." Goldie is honestly just a ray of sunshine that brings positivity wherever she is and whoever she's talking to!
