Goldie Hawn Gave Son Oliver Hudson One Of Her Houses, Couldn’t Stop Crying When He Moved Back To His Home

If you still don’t know by now, Goldie Hawn is the coolest mom to her kids. Not only has she built a formidable relationship with her kids, but she also cares for them like they are still young children even up to this day.

Hawn and Kurt Russell are known for having one of the most successful romances in all of Hollywood. Although the pair have never tied the knot, they have shown that a ring and marriage certificate aren’t necessary in order to have a beautiful and brilliant relationship. Their blended family is full of light and talent, and it’s clear that the family has spent some amazing moments together, making memories over the years.

During her marriage to Bill Hudson, Hawn had two children, a son named Oliver Hudson and a daughter named Kate Hudson, both of whom have grown up to become successful actors. Following the finalization of her divorce from Bill, Hawn began dating Russell, and the rest is history. The couple has one biological son together named Wyatt Russell.

They also have a handful of shared homes in places all across North America, where they have enjoyed spending quality time together. Over the years, Russell and Hawn have both made it clear that their family comes above everything else, and they have set an excellent example for their own children to raise their families. 

Hawn and Russell are famous for their blended family and how close they all are and it comes down to spending quality time together, which is one of their priorities in life. 

Oliver has been acting since 1999, when he first appeared in his mom's film "The Out-of-Towners." He's most famous for his turn as Adam Rhodes in the comedy show "Rules of Engagement," as well as the series "Nashville" and "Scream Queens."

After marrying actress Erinn Bartlett in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in 2006, the couple went on to have three children — Wilder, 15, Bodhi, 13, and Rio, 9. Rio, the only girl, has even been called a lookalike to her grandmother Hawn.

Back in March 2021, Oliver said that his mom has always been a “bada**,” revealing that they would often go on road trips as a family when he was still young.

"My mom was — is — bada**," Oliver said. "We did a bunch of road trips, honestly. There are a couple in particular that are very memorable just because we were young. We were in the Southwest just cruising around in her van, and it just felt free,” he added. 

In 2012, Hawn gifted her house in Brentwood, California, to Oliver, according to a report by TMZ. Hawn purchased the house in 2009 for $2.09 million.

It's not clear if it was the same house, but Oliver had his home renovated in January 2022. However, instead of checking in at a hotel or renting an apartment, Oliver decided to stay at his mom and Russell's house in Aspen, Colorado.

"We're remodeling the house, and instead of renting a place I'm like, 'Yeah, let's just go back home.' So I am living with Mom and Dad, kids are here," he said in an interview with E!’s Daily Pop, as quoted by PEOPLE.

Perhaps the best part of moving in with his mom was the latter got to make him breakfast again.

"Yeah, it's great. Breakfast is made; Mom makes biscuits and gravy and eggs. It's actually — there's a chance we won't leave, I'll tell you that," he said.

In February 2022, Oliver opened up in a guest appearance on the PEOPLE Every Day podcast about how he felt about moving back into his own house.

"My last night is tonight," Oliver told PEOPLE in an interview. "Saturday, we move back into the house." 

While he felt happy about returning to his home, he knew his mom was going to feel sad the moment they left. 

"I actually go to the Super Bowl on Sunday," he said. "So the timing is perfect. My mom's gonna be sad."

After he moved back to his house, Oliver gave an update — in the form of a funny song — to his fans and said that he decided to go back because he needed some space, even though he admitted feeling happy living with his mom.

"I'm back home in my own house. Living with my mommy was nice, but now I feel like I need my space,” he sang in an Instagram post in February 2022.

Oliver’s predictions came true as he revealed that after he moved back to his home, his mom had been crying.

"My wife and my kids were happy to be back, but my mommy is crying at home," Oliver added. "My mommy is crying, everyone's crying, but I’m happy to be back home.”

In October 2022, Oliver gave his fans a glimpse of his LA home, with many of them praising how tidy it was after he shared a reel featuring his sneaker collection.
