Goldie Hawn And Kurt Russell’s Body Language Analysis Shows Couple Adores Each Other

Goldie Hawn has had a prolific acting career throughout her life, but she has never let that get in the way of her personal life. With Kurt Russell, a partner of over 30 years, Hawn has set the bar for the ultimate couple, and the bar is set quite high when one looks at their adorable photos and their journey. After being together for almost four decades, the legendary actress claims Russell still makes her feel beautiful. Their love is one for the ages, and despite never getting married, they continue to show why they're one of Hollywood's best couples. However, they do receive questions about why they have chosen not to marry, and they have discussed this decision in various interviews in the past. In fact, it may very well be that this decision has helped to keep their relationship strong.

One way that Hawn and Russell show their continued dedication to each other is through their body language. An expert in reading body language has analyzed some photos of the couple that reveal how deeply in love they really are. Read on to learn more about this beautiful relationship.

The happy couple has been together since 1983. They initially met in 1966 while filming together but reconnected on the set of their film “Swing Shift,” and have been inseparable ever since, even going on to star in more movies together after becoming romantically involved. They each brought children to their partnership—Hawn with Oliver and Kate Hudson, and Russell with Boston, who he shares with ex-wife Season Hubley. Together, Hawn and Russell share a son named Wyatt. 

However, one interesting thing about their relationship is that the couple never chose to get married. Hawn openly discussed the topic in a 2007 interview with Woman's Day magazine. Asked why they won't head down the aisle, Hawn responded: 

"Because we have done just perfectly without marrying. I already feel devoted and isn't that what marriage is supposed to do? So as long as my emotional state is in a state of devotion, honesty, caring and loving, then we're fine."

She goes on to mention their children and how they've managed to raise them into "beautiful people," adding: "We did a great job there and we didn't have to get married to do that. I like waking up every day and seeing that he is there and knowing that I have a choice. There is really no reason to marry."

Kurt even weighed in on the topic in an interview with the Daily Mail in 2018, saying: "Everyone has their marker on what is really important and where you draw the line. For Goldie and me, that core value was this: the kids come first. That big movie I turned down came at an age when they really needed one of us around."

The love between this couple is evident in everything they do together. Especially in the subtle moments that an untrained eye could miss. Body language expert Karen Donaldson gave insight into photos of Hawn and Russell together. "Goldie and Kurt walk in unison which tells us that they are also in sync with one another on an emotional level," the expert told Women’s Health about a photo of the couple walking together.

In another photo, Hawn and Russell are sharing a kiss at the Hollywood Walk of Fame with their hands intertwined. “(The handholding) tells us that they are affectionate towards each other," Donaldson said. "The way in which Kurt holds Goldie's hands in both of his as he kisses her shows a truly deep connection on an emotional and physical level." 

Another image shows the pair walking in unison again. This time Hawn has her arm looped through Russell’s. "This signals a long-lasting relationship, void of competition and full of acceptance. A natural mirroring of your partner’s posture and body language is often seen in more established relationships that have a deep connection," Donaldson explained.

When asked what the secret to their relationship is, the two actors shook their heads and said there is no secret. “You’ve got to want to be together," Hawn told The New York Times. Russell shared her sentiment, saying, “It’s up, and down, it’s sideways, it’s whatever. At the end of the day, how do you explain it? ... It’s the same thing as what you’re saying. I call that love.”
