Golden Retriever Trapped In Underground Hole – She Shows Gratitude To Firefighters Who Save Her Life

Firefighters are often pictured digging through collapsed buildings or putting out forest fires. They are true heroes because they do the dangerous work to help whoever is in need. This spirit of sacrifice doesn't only apply to humans; we've all heard of a situation when a cat was stuck in a tree and the firefighters came to help.

In early April, Quinn the golden retriever found herself stuck in a four-foot hole after going in after her favorite ball. With the help of Scottsdale firefighters, Quinn was rescued.

Cats aren't the only pets that firefighters have helped in times of trouble. Meet Quinn, whose dramatic rescue story can be seen in this video. Quinn found herself stuck in a four-foot hole after going in after her favorite ball; the hole was big enough to get inside but too small to get back out.

As soon as Quinn's owner realized what had happened, she called the fire department. The hole was too small for her to help Quinn; they were going to need trained experts to solve this mess. As they waited for the firefighters to come to the rescue, a frightened Quinn remained in the uncomfortable, small space.

Soon, the firefighters arrived. After assessing the situation, they decided the best way to get Quinn out of the hole was by digging to make more space. In about twenty minutes, they had managed to widen the hole enough for the dog to pull herself out.

She was covered in dirt but safe. The whole episode did not last for very long, but those must have been the longest moments of poor Quinn's life.

We don't tend to give firefighters the thanks they deserve for solving problems like this. It might have seemed like a small issue compared to saving a house on fire, but these first responders took the time to rescue a frightened dog.

They gave her the same level of importance as they would have used to approach a greater crisis, and now Quinn is safe with her family.

Whether it's a puppy in a hole or an attic on fire, the firefighters are always ready to help. No life is less worthy of rescue to them, and for that we should be grateful. Do you know a firefighter in your life? Show them this story, and be sure to give thanks.
