Golden Retriever Funnily Hijacks Owner’s Workout

Bailey is a playful Golden Retriever who lives with his human parents in their home in Spain. One of his parents is a man who likes to workout. Bailey's dad owns a personal home gym and appears to have a couple of protein shakes as well. This is a man who puts effort into his exercise.

When Bailey's dad pulls out his exercise mat and places it on the floor, Bailey immediately flops down on the mat and rolls around. It appears Bailey wants to help his dad exercise. While studies have shown that exercise partners help motivate you and improve your overall fitness results, the researchers probably did not imagine anyone would use their dog as a fitness partner.

At first, Bailey's dad attempts to move Bailey to the couch while he exercises. Since Golden Retrievers are a large dog breed, they tend to be heavy. Bailey has already helped his dad do some weightlifting, even if it wasn't the usual barbell.

Despite being moved to the couch, Bailey remains determined to help his dad out. He instantly jumps off the couch and hops around his father. While Bailey is hopping around, his dad takes the opportunity to attempt a pushup position. However, Bailey has other plans and slides underneath his chest.

His dad rewards him with some belly rubs for trying to be a good fitness partner. He then tries once again to move Bailey to the couch. Bailey stays on the couch for a few seconds, but the moment his dad gets into the plank position, Bailey once again slips in under his dad's chest.

Bailey's dad gives up and continues doing the plank position despite Bailey's antics. Bailey decides to give his dad an extra challenge and hops on his back for added weight. After providing him with some extra weight, Bailey crawls under his dad to help keep him in the air. How thoughtful!

Finally, Bailey's dad embraces Bailey as a fitness partner and plays tug-of-war with Bailey using his dog toys. This method of working out means he gets to work his biceps while also having some valuable playtime with Bailey. It is the perfect compromise when dealing with a playful fitness partner.
