God Knows What Your Heart Desires, Even If Don't Say It Out Loud

It is hard to understand God. He says to ask and you shall receive, to knock and the door shall be opened, and to look and you shall find. Yet, this does not always happen.

Maybe you have been praying and thinking to yourself that God wasn't listening to you or that he does not really understand you. The reason for this is that you have been praying for certain things for a long time but you have still not gotten them. You end up thinking that he is keeping you waiting while making the lesson harder.

You might even end up thinking that you are not accurately articulating what you want. So you decide to speak to him in a number of languages while asking for what you wanted in different ways. You do this thinking that it would make a difference by perfecting your words. You thought that if you chose your words right, he'd be more attentive to your prayers.

You think that God's answer will be yes if you prayed the perfect prayer. However, God knows everything in your heart even if you don't say it. He knows all you need without even asking for it. He doesn't need a reminder because he never forgets. He heard you when you cried to him in prayer a decade ago just as he did yesterday.

The reality is that God's answer to your prayers may be no regardless of the type of prayer you make. He won't just give you everything you are asking because you're praying hard. He knows what you want, but he also knows whatever is best for you. He knows what you need. He already sees what can give your heart permanent healing. He knows you more than you know yourself. He wants you to know that you can trust him with your heart because after all, it belongs to God.

So no matter what you do, his plan will always prevail. Your plan will never be better than his. All he wants from you is not the loudest prayer you can make but to have faith in him trusting that he will do everything right for you. Have faith that he will work miracles in his silence. Trust in him even at your weakest.

Maybe what God wants you to focus on is not what you are telling him but what he is telling you. Maybe you are focusing too much on what you want from him instead of stepping back and listening to his responses, watch the directions your life is taking as you look for the signals he is sending. You can probably find God in silence. For example, in situations when you can't say a prayer, when you can't say how you feel, when everything around you doesn't make sense anymore, that is the time you feel connected to him the most. If you trust that he can heal your heart, that is exactly what he will do.
