Glam Mom Wins Beauty Pageant At Age 50, Credits Youthful Looks To Being Single For 14 Years

If you are gorgeous, you shouldn't hide it! That's the philosophy of one single mother by the name of "Shany Hagan." Shany lives in Rawcliffe, York, and she has done something that most 50-year-old mothers cannot say that they have done.

Shany entered a total of three beauty pageants after she turned 50. She came in first place in one of these pageants, and she just recently came in third in the last contest she entered.

How Shany Got into Beauty Pageants

Last year, Shany was very frustrated with her life because she was working three jobs and didn't have time to do anything else. A friend of hers convinced her to enter a beauty pageant, so she did. When she entered the "Face of the World" pageant, she thought that it was going to be a joke because she was old enough to be the other contestants' mother, but she was one of the finalists.

She decided to throw caution to the wind and enjoyed every minute of the experience. She also entered the "Smile of the Universe" contest this year, and she placed third. She said that she was "over the moon."

The Down Side

Shany adores competing in pageants, but there is a downside to the whole thing. Shany's competitions embarrass her 17-year-old son. She loves competing in pageants, so she is not going to allow anyone to spoil her fun. She believes that she looks good enough to compete in pageants at her age because she is single.

People tell her that she doesn't look 50 years old, and Shany says that this is thanks to the fact that she has been single for 14 years. She was very quiet when she was a teenager, but growing older has given her confidence.

No matter what you think about Shany and her pageants, everyone can learn how to be more confident from her!
