Although singer Angelina Jordan is just 14 years old, she has already been a viral sensation for almost half of her life. She first hit it big time when she was crowned as the champion of Norway's Got Talent in 2014. Because Norway is her home country, it makes sense that she chose this show as her professional singing debut. What is most impressive is that Jordan was only seven years old when she won this competition.

Since her win, she has been invited to perform at various events both overseas and in her home country. Back in 2017, she performed Elvis Presley’s It's Now or Never for the crowd at Fredriksten fortress in the Norwegian city of Halden. She was only 11 at the time of the performance, but her vocals are way beyond her years. Read on to find out more!

Doing The King Of Rock And Roll Justice

The King of Rock must be smiling down on this young lady. Jordan, who is 14, hails from Oslo and is one talented teenager. Her talents brought her to this Norwegian stage, but this video has catapulted her exposure around the globe.

Elvis rose to the heights of popularity in the 1950s. Even today, there are tons of Elvis impersonators around. Las Vegas is notorious for having a huge amount of them. Each one is trying to cash in on the image of the king. You'll find them in every nook and cranny of sin city. You can get married by one or even have a funeral with one.

So many people have tried emulating his sound, but none have ever been able to reach the bar. That is until this talented girl came along.

The event was part of a musical entertainment TV program called Allsang på Grensen. After the host introduces Jordan and explains that she is going to perform an Elvis song, cheering and applause can be heard from the now excited crowd at Fredriksten fortress. Jordan looked gorgeous with a flower crown and a white dress. Her style seemed very bohemian — she was even standing barefoot on stage.

Elvis is a tough act to mimic, but she does so beautifully. She begins singing It's Now or Never.

It's amazing how she handles this mature song. Most people would expect her to sing something closer to her age bracket — maybe a contemporary pop song? However, Jordan isn't afraid to push her vocal limits. She sticks to the classic rendition and doesn't skip a beat. A choir behind Jordan all looked to be vibing along with her singing as they gave her back up.

She sounded so much like Elvis. It's amazing to hear her belt those hard-to-hit notes over and over. The sounds that come out of this young girl are shocking! How can someone so young be filled with so much talent? No wonder this video has gone viral. Since its posting back in July 2017, the video has amassed over 5.3 million views at the time of writing. The crowd enjoyed singing along to Jordan. They were given event booklets that had the lyrics of the song for them to follow along. The crowd is filled mostly with family groups, and you can even see several women and girls wearing flower crowns, too.

Online viewers of Jordan's rendition of the Elvis song have also expressed their enjoyment of her performance. “This is the best version of the song that I have ever heard since Elvis, and by such a very beautiful young lady,” one viewer wrote in the comments. Another person said: “Her talent is undoubtedly beyond her years. She is fantastic!”

She's Born To Sing

“I feel like I’ve lived many years more than my age,” Jordan says in her bio. “I feel like music found me. I want people to get connected to my music and my lyrics and to share something special with the love I have for music.”

Jordan began her singing career early. She was only seven when she performed on a worldwide stage. She appeared on America’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2020 where she once again went viral for her rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. She received a standing ovation from all four judges and everybody else in the auditorium. Her performance was so incredibly moving that judge Heidi Klum gave her the coveted golden buzzer during her audition, which meant that Jordan would advance straight to the finals from there.

She may be a famous singer now, but she's still the same humble girl. When she was just six years old, she befriended a young girl who did not have any shoes. That inspired Jordan to always perform barefoot, according to her Wikipedia page. She even wrote a book about her encounter with the little girl and subsequently became the youngest published author in her country, Norway. If that is not impressive enough, Jordan is also skilled in playing instruments. She plays the piano, violin, guitar, and flute. And oh, she is also a painter.

While attending the Oslo Waldorf School, she practiced her music at the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts in her spare time. Surely, the other students look up to her now. After all, she is a talented force to be reckoned with.

Jordan found success early, but that doesn't mean that she didn't work for it. Plus, she's a natural performer, so someone would have noticed eventually. She was signed to American record label Republic Records in August 2020, and in November, she released her first single with the label, Million Miles.

Jordan was already being pursued by record labels since her Norway’s Got Talent win, but being so young, she decided that she wanted to wait until she was ready. Before she got signed to her current label, Jordan had already been doing high-profile performances. According to Variety, she sang What a Wonderful World at the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony and performed alongside icons like Psy and Norah Jones in front of 40,000 people at the Muse in City Festival.

In the future, we hope to see more performances by her. As she matures, so will her voice. We can't wait to hear that!
