Girl Scouts With Down Syndrome Are An Inspiration To The World With 9 Years Of Friendship.

Everyone is unique in their own ways, and individuality is increasingly celebrated. However, significant differences can often make it difficult to find people who you connect with and who you can develop a long-lasting friendship with. This is the case for many young children who have Down syndrome.

Linda Sauve recognized the need for her daughter with Down syndrome, Sarina, to socialize regularly and to develop deep friendships with other girls like her.

This inspired her to start their special Girl Scout troop. The troop, which is called The Ladybugs, is comprised of 10 beautiful girls who all have Down syndrome.

These girls initially joined The Ladybugs when they were entering elementary school, and they have developed strong friendships with each other over the last decade.

According to the troop’s leader, Linda, The Ladybugs has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of her life and of her daughter’s life. This sentiment is shared by others in the troop as well.

The troop’s activities have evolved over the years as the girls have grown and their interests have changed. Now, they enjoy doing crafts, dancing and sleeping over at each other’s houses.

Some girls thoroughly enjoy all of the activities they do together, and others state that they are grateful for their friendships. Even though these girls are rapidly growing into young ladies, it is clear that their deep bond will keep their friendships intact for many years to come.
