Gillette’s Controversial New Advert About Toxic Masculinity Has Annoyed All The Right People

In a clever play on words, Gillette has changed its famous slogan "The best a man can get," to "Is this the best a man could get?" in an effort to encourage men to stand up for victims of harassment and bullying and be good role models for young men everywhere.

The new advertisement first aired last Sunday on various social media accounts of the popular shaving company. The powerful ad is getting away from the standard "boys will be boys" mentality by supporting men in their endeavors to do good for the world. 

Although the new ad is being lauded for its progressive message, many people are protesting it, saying that it is insulting to men. Some people have even gone so far as to call for a boycott of all Gillette products.

Despite the protests, executives at Gillette are standing behind the message. The marketing staff of Gillette knew that the ad would ruffle feathers, but believe that healthy discussion is key to progress as the country continues to deal with gender issues. The ad addresses a variety of important social issues such as sexual harassment, bullying, gender inequalities, and violence.

By encouraging men to hold themselves to a higher standard, the company hopes that everyone in society will benefit from the message.

The new campaign has been referred to as blatant feminist propaganda by many critics. Supporters of the ad argue that the message is needed badly in the age of the #metoo movement.
