This past Monday, July 13, on the distanced 'Kellyoke' segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly Clarkson decided to bless her YouTube audience with a cover of Miley Cyrus' The Climb. The song takes fans 11 years back to the sweet old days of Hannah Montana: The Movie.

The Kellyoke

Kellyoke is a popular segment of Kelly Clarkson's daytime show where she and her amazing band open every episode with moving renditions of different songs. Her powerful vocals are backed with drums, majestic piano, and heavenly backup vocals for this specific cover. Clarkson, 38, has done a series of covers with varying messages during this stay at home period.

Soon after filing for divorce from Brandon Blackstock, she covered Stay (I Missed You) by Lisa Loeb. She has traversed from classics like 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton, her premier 'Kellyoke performance', to legendary tunes like Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me).

The Climb

This time she decides to do a song about struggle because, well, many can relate to it. The Climb is the perfect song for somebody who may need a little push to get them through a stressful week. Maybe you have been feeling like:

"There's a voice inside my head is saying / You'll never reach it / Every step I am taking / Every move I am making / Lost with no direction / Like your faith is shaking"

These are part of the lyrics from the song, and as if Miley knew what would be happening at this time years ago when she wrote the song, she continues to say, "But I gotta keep trying / I gotta keep my head held high / There is always gonna be another mountain / I am always gonna wanna make it move"

Clarkson did justice to this hit and makes everyone love it even more. She will convince you to believe that you can move that mountain ahead of you. And, it doesn't even matter how fast you get there or what is waiting on the other side. All you need to do is keep moving and keep the faith because it is all about the climb. In the typical Clarkson manner, it had to have a big finish.

Her Fans Love 'The Climb'

Although it wasn't the first time for Kelly to cover this song, the first time being in 2009 after the VH1 Divas Show alongside Jill and Kate, this time, it resonated with many of her fans, and the hope and inspiration they have derived from it are clear on the video's comment section.

One viewer commented: "My 2020 is bearable because of Kelly. I dunno (sic) what I would do without Kelly. Grateful to God for creating this beautiful angel for me. Another reads: "You and your band give me joy every day. You couldn't possibly know your impact on all of us that listen to your music every day. Thank you for the hard work!"
