George H.W. Bush's Service Dog Mourning At His Memorial, Is Heartwrenching

George H.W. Bush spent his last months of life with a beautiful service dog named Sully. While Bush was in his casket, Sully sat still beside it with a look that has overcome viewers with sadness.

When people heard that George H.W. Bush had passed away, it left a hole in the hearts of many. He was struggling with health issues for a few months, but the cause of death hasn't been released. It was only eight months ago that he lost his wife Barbara. George had been dealing with the impacts of Parkinsonism and had been spending his time in a wheelchair because of vertebrae that had broken.

Sully is a Labrador retriever that has been with George since his wife died. The dog has been trained to offer companionship and to act as a service dog, alerting others of any emergencies with his handler. Sully was named for the pilot who landed the plane in Hudson River. He has been trained to offer special care to vets who need assistance. His service has been evident since George passed away.

George and Sully have spent days and nights together talking and interacting in a way that is simply beautiful. An image on the Instagram pages that have been shared about Sully shows the dog laying right next to his owner's casket.
