George Clooney Affirms He & Wife Amal Haven’t Had A Single Fight In Their 10 Years Of Marriage

George Clooney is known for more than his charm, talent, and activism. He’s widely admired for his enduring relationship with his wife, Amal Clooney, and they have become one of Hollywood’s most beloved love stories. In April 2025, the Hollywood icon surprised many by revealing that he and his wife, Amal, have never argued throughout their 10-year marriage – a statement that has left many couples in disbelief. 

Over the years, the “Ocean’s Eleven” actor has often spoken warmly about his wife. In a 2022 interview with Gayle King, the 63-year-old actor shared that the foundation of their relationship is strong communication. Referring to their bond, he said maintaining it has been “the easiest thing by far” and noted they had “never had an argument.”

During a conversation with Page Six in 2023, George was asked if being married to Amal made him feel like he was “punching above” his weight. Without hesitation, he responded: “Yes, and I still do (think that).” He laughed and added, “Everyone would say the same thing.” More than a year later, their relationship remains as harmonious as ever.

The couple exchanged vows in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy, in September 2014. The weekend-long celebration included a civil ceremony at the historic Ca’ Farsetti palace and a glamorous reception at the Aman Canal Grande. Surrounded by famous friends such as Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, and Emily Blunt, the wedding embodied their refined elegance. 

In 2017, they welcomed twins Ella and Alexander Clooney, beginning their journey into parenthood. On April 21, 2025, George shared some insight into his relationship with his wife and his children’s personalities in an interview with King on “CBS Mornings.”

Speaking about fatherhood, George shared a lighthearted look into life with his children.

“Our kids are 7, about to be 8, which is a pretty great age,” he said. The Oscar-winning actor continued, “They’re really curious and funny. Every parent thinks their kids are great. Our kids are funny and make us laugh.”

Reflecting on his marriage, George revisited a moment from the 2022 interview with King.

“I remember we were here with you once before, and I remember we said we’d never had an argument,” he said, reaffirming that they “still haven’t.” “We’re trying to find something to fight about!” he jokingly added.

George expressed deep appreciation for his wife, Amal, saying, “I feel so extraordinarily lucky to have met this incredible woman. And I feel as if I hit the jackpot. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think I’m the luckiest man in the world. So it’s great.”

During that same 2022 conversation, Amal joined the discussion about their relationship dynamics.

“It’s maddening to some of our friends,” she said, adding, “I have a cousin, actually, every time we see him he’s like, his first question is, ‘So have you had an argument yet?’ before he says ‘Hello.’”

When King questioned whether they had “seriously” never fought, George responded with a grin: “Would you like us to now? Would that make you feel better?”

Amal attributed their smooth relationship to serendipity.

“It’s 99 percent luck just to meet the right person,” she said. “And I think the one thing we would take is to not be cynical, just to be open, and I was surprised that you were not cynical or guarded at all and things just moved very quickly.”
