Gentle Hunting Dog Plays With Newborn Bird Fallen From Nest

Kindness is a virtue and doesn't cost a thing to pass around. Chloe, a Brittany spaniel, definitely seems to understand that. In a popular video uploaded in 2020, Chloe plays with a bird that appears to have fallen from its nest without hurting it.

Kids are adorable. We love their innocence and vulnerability. Moreover, they know no danger, which means that they make friends quickly. As long as you are ready to play with them, you are dear to them. And that's how the baby bird in our story found a friend in a gentle dog. You and I would expect the dog to harm or even eat up this helpless bird, but that did not happen.

The baby bird fell from his nest. He had probably moved too close to the edge to see what stood beyond the only home he knew. Maybe it was getting lonely for him up there, and he was curious to know what the world beyond his home had to offer. Unfortunately, it did not end well because he fell to the ground. Luckily, there was a dog nearby.

Chloe saw the baby bird and moved closer to see who had intruded her territory. Chloe is exceptional. This Brittany spaniel is not your everyday dog. She cannot bring herself to hurt another animal, let alone a tiny powerless baby bird.

Any other dog would have celebrated and thanked the heavens profusely for dropping a ready meal right at his doorstep. He would probably have said a little prayer to the kind heavens not to send any visitors until he was done with this sumptuous snack.

Chloe, however, did not see a meal. Instead, she saw a baby bird that needed company. She saw an opportunity to make a new friend. So, other than jump at and tear the baby bird to pieces, she plays with him gently. In fact, she even appears to be extra careful not to alarm the baby bird. It is as if she suspected the bird was already upset after falling from the nest.

The two have been filmed as they play calmly. In the video, the gentle dog scans around as if checking to make sure there is no threat to her newfound friend. So sweet of her, don't you agree? Watch the video and you will be amazed at how friendly and protective Chloe is of the baby bird. You would think they had been playing together for ages.

After watching the video, you are bound to wonder why some of the people we meet are so unkind. Why do people take advantage of other's vulnerability and miss their chance to be helpful? We can pick a good lesson on kindness to strangers from these two animals.

You could have friends who have shown you kindness when you least expect it. It could be after you have done something unpleasant, like the way the baby bird let himself fall off the nest. If your friends remained cool and friendly even after you messed up, let them watch the video to see how their kindness is important.
