The world tends to forget about all the veterans and soldiers who put their lives on the line trying to defend the country. It's easy to congratulate them after a victory and even easier not to give them enough credit for the hardships they go through.

However, one foundation, the Gary Sinise Foundation, chooses not to overwrite their deeds and help them out after the war days are over.

Many will lose their limbs, get fatal injuries, suffer from post-traumatic stress and in worse situations death. Gary Sinise, the founder of the charitable organization known as the Gary Sinise Foundation, dedicates himself fully into ensuring that army veterans, soldiers, and defenders get the care and attention they need after war.

The organization, founded by Sinise after being an advocate for veterans for over four decades, aids thousands of veterans and their families. It doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time in the future.

While most people may not understand what Gary and his foundation do to deserve all the praise and acknowledgement, Sergeant 1st Class Caleb Brewer who hails from Tucson, Arizona may attest to the wonderful deeds.

According to KOLD13, he recently received a smart home from the Gary Sinise Foundation after airing out his story and plight after serving in the army.

Sergeant Caleb was commissioned to work for the United States Army Reserves in 2005. In 2012, he had risen the ladder and was absorbed into the Green Berets. There, he served for three years until 2015 when he suffered a life-threatening injury.

On his 31st birthday, one of the most unfortunate events happened. Caleb accidentally stamped on an IED that blew off both his legs. Amidst recovery, he suffered from infections, severe blood loss, and mental trauma.

Caleb survived the phase and picked himself up. With two lost limbs, he found the courage to help out others like him. Gary caught wind of Caleb’s tearful story and decided to reach out through his foundation.

In order to improve the veteran’s quality of life and as a sign of gratitude for serving the country, Gary gifted Caleb a smart home that comes pre-installed with technology to make life easier.

Veterans like Caleb should have more support after the challenging days. Pass this along to let everyone know of Gary’s kind-hearted deeds and Caleb’s recovery journey.
