Sep 09, 2019 by apost team

We all know who Gary Sinise is. Who could forget his amazing role as Lieutenant Dan in the 1994 movie Forrest Gump? Sinise played a soldier in the Army who lost both of his legs in Vietnam. He spent years depressed and angry at the world until finally finding peace with himself and God. Sinise is an amazing actor who brings life to any character that he plays.

Sinise was so touched by his role and the veterans and soldiers he spoke to after the movie came out that he started the Gary Sinise Foundation. His incredible foundation has helped provide hundreds of thousands of meals to veterans, as well as 60 smart-homes that were specifically designed for disabled veterans. He has taken children and their caregivers on a trip to Disney World and continues to provide care and support for our military men and women.

Sinise even has his own band that goes around and plays for the troops, aptly named the Lt. Dan Band. Sinise and the rest of the group perform at different military support concerts all over the country. In 2019, they have played or will play at more than a dozen venues, including the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, Fort Huachuca, Fort Belvoir, and USO Little Creek.

If you are curious about where they are going to play next, be sure to check out their website. They frequently update their performance details to keep everyone aware of when and where they will be playing next.

Gary Sinise plays the electric bass in the band. The band is made up of a variety of vocalists, drummers, guitarists, and even trumpeters. There is also a crew that works behind-the-scenes to make sure that their performances go off without a hitch.

Sinise penned a personal letter that was published on his official website, talking about how much the band and experiences meant to him. He stated that he does everything that he can to draw attention to not only our military members but to our first-responders as well. He wants to make sure that they are all recognized and remembered for their time and sacrifices to our country. We are certainly glad that this amazing actor uses his fame for a noble cause.
