Two country music powerhouses are finally going to duet on a song together. Entertainment Tonight reports exclusively that Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton will both sing on the song “Dive Bar,” which will be part of the upcoming album “Fun” by Garth Brooks.

Blake Shelton and ET host Nancy O’Dell spoke about the collaboration at Shelton’s bar in Nashville, Tennessee. The singer has several outposts of his bar Ole Red, named after his signature song from 2002. There, he told her:

"Blake and I are getting ready to release a duet in the summer," he said to ET, "He was fun. He came to the studio and just did a good old summertime anthem. It's called 'Dive Bar' and it just talks about spending your summers in the dive bars across America, and it's going to be fun.

He went on to talk about the similarities between him and the seasoned country star Brooks. He said that they were both raised around the same area in Oklahoma which might be a reason why their voices mixed so well together.

Fans don’t have to wait that long for the song to come out, it’s supposed to hit country radio airwaves on June 18. As for the music video that might accompany it, Shelton isn’t sure yet. He told ET, "I don't know when the last time we did a country music video was, but you don't want to pass this opportunity up. It's going to be fun."

Garth Brooks also confirmed the collaboration in a somewhat cryptic but not-so-cryptic tweet.

What do you think about the upcoming duet? Will it be the song of the summer or will there just be too much personality for one song? Tell the country fans you know about this megawatt collaboration.
