‘Game of Thrones’ Fans Believe Bran Stark Is Evil, And There’s Evidence

If you didn't watch the last episode of Game of Thrones, prepare yourself for spoilers. It was one of the most eventful episodes in the show's history and it stunned fans who had prepared themselves for even the most shocking deaths. Unsurprisingly, viewers were left with millions of questions and some have already begun to form some pretty convincing theories.

Many of these theories center around one character in particular: Bran Stark. In the last episode, he spent the entirety of the battle in the forest, warging (entering the mind of an animal and controlling their actions). In the meantime, the rest of the characters fought heroically to save him.

But fans are now asking: why was Bran warging for so long, and where was he warging to?

Before this episode was released, fans were convinced that Bran and the Night King were one and the same. Not only does he have the power to enter the minds of other animals and people and control their actions, but he also has Greensight, the ability to see into the past and into the future.

Fans think that Bran saw the war with the Whitewalkers coming, and attempted to save the world by himself a few different times. In his first attempt, he became Bran the Builder, the man who built the wall to keep the Whitewalkers out.

Some fans believe he also warged into The Mad King in an attempt to burn all the Whitewalkers before they had a chance to become powerful - but it didn't fully work, made The Mad King go mad and start saying "burn them all. This lead people to believe he was talking about his subjects and ultimately, to The Mad King's Death.

Bran then warges into the very first White Walker, otherwise known as The Night King. As the theory goes, he ended up staying warged for too long and got stuck, actually becoming The Night King himself.

This theory was debunked in the last episode, though, when Arya (spoiler alert!) killed The Night King right in front of Bran, and Bran didn't die. But fans seem to still believe that Bran is evil and are questioning the events of the episode. Why, for example, did Bran ask Theon Greyjoy to protect him? He had to have known they wouldn't stand a chance against The Night King, and when they died, there would be no witnesses for whatever he'd planned.

Did Arya killing The Night King actually ruin Bran's plan instead of saving him? Or was Arya killing The Night King Bran's plan all along, since he handed the murder weapon over to her in season four? With only 3 episodes left until the series finally, we're bound to find out the truth sooner rather than later!
