Fully Tattooed Father Hopes To Achieve World Record With Candy Canes Hanging In His Piercings

Most people, if not all, have crossed paths with someone who loves getting tattoos – but for sure, that person is definitely not as big of a fan of tattoos as one Canadian guy whose body has been fully covered with tattoos. Of course, people were amused by his love for tattoos – and piercings. But he did something else that caught everyone's attention during the holidays in 2021 – and he made sure to level it up in 2022.
 
One Canadian, who goes by the name Remy on Instagram, has garnered a huge following among the tattoo-obsessed due to the ink he claimed takes up about 95% of his body.
 
As if his love for tattoos isn't obvious enough, he actually gets inked almost three times a week.
 
"I get tattooed every week, between 1-3 sessions a week. I have lots of pictures and videos of that stuff," he said.
 
The father of one has inked large swathes of skin on his legs and arms in complete blackout tattoos, while his scalp, neck, and face are adorned with intricate flowers and designs.
 
His torso is emblazoned with huge fangs, while his upper chest is adorned with a skull and wings.
 
His unusual look has earned him more than 203,000 followers on Instagram, and they routinely encourage his passion with kind words and compliments on the photos he posts of his "body of work."
 
Apart from the tattoos, Remy also has multiple unique and interesting piercings to complete the look he is going for.
 
Meanwhile, Remy isn't put off by any critics either and has continued to find space for more artwork even as naysayers question whether there's any real estate left on his skin.

But Remy did not spend 1,300 getting tattooed for nothing. He actually wants to achieve a world record. "If [Guinness World Records] followed my journey, I'd have anywhere from five-20 separate world records," he said.

While he has already submitted an application to snag the world record, he has yet to hear from Guinness.

In 2021, he hung candy small candy canes placed on the different piercings on his face. To top it off, he pierced a big candy cane through his nostrils.

He also made sure to add Christmas lights on his piercings to bring in the festive feel to them.

"My family always go out on a Christmas lights drive and we all get eggnog lattes," he said.

As if the first one wasn't big enough, he pierced another candy cane through his nostrils once again in December 2022 – only this time around, it was a lot bigger. Yes, it was so big he had to "lube it up" before inserting it through the holes in his nose.

"The biggest candy cane yet! I had to take this up a level this year. This one measured at an astonishing 23.5 mm. I had to lube it up, not to fit it through my septum, but in order to pass it through my nostrils, which were pretty maxed out," he wrote in his Instagram post.

On possibly getting a world record this time, he said: "I may or may not hold a world record for the most candy canes in someone's piercings."

At the end of the day, Remy is more than just the recognition but the tradition.

"Tradition is important, and by now it should be no secret I've always been one to go big for the holidays," he remarked.
