Frustrated Dad Is Sick Of Having To Change His Baby's Diaper On Bathroom Floor

Good parents who have babies try to be prepared when they venture on outings with their little ones. They take extra time to get everything they'll need for the day packed up in the diaper bag, including plenty of diapers, wipes, snacks, and toys.

For Chris Mau, his desire to provide the best care for his daughter was short-circuited one day through no fault of his own. He was out for a stroll with his fiance and kids when he realized his 8-month-old little girl needed a diaper change. Being the concerned dad that he is, he walked into a fast food joint to take care of the problem. His significant other was watching the rest of the kids at the restaurant's play area.

To his dismay, he discovered there was no changing table in the men's restroom.

This lack of consideration for dads and their kids really bothered him. He thought for sure that a restaurant that included a play area inside of it would surely have a basic parenting necessity like a changing table in the men's room.

Thankfully, he had remembered to pack a towel in the diaper bag. He quickly pulled it out, laid it on the floor, and placed his daughter gently on the towel so he could change her diaper. Though he found it nasty to have to put her so close to that dirty floor even though she was on top of a towel, whoever had decided not to install a changing table in that restroom left him no choice.

Chris decided to express his frustration at the situation on social media. He complained that the restroom's conditions were "less than sanitary." He thought about waiting to change her but since she was starting to cry harder he did the best he could to relieve her distress without letting her get contaminated by her filthy surroundings.

Along with a picture of his precious baby on the towel in the men's room after her diaper change, Chris posted this message, "I'm getting pretty sick of having to change my daughter on a disgusting floor because the only changing table in the place is located in the women's bathroom."

In this day and age when men are so involved in taking care of their children, you'd think more stores and eating establishments would realize the need to install diaper changing stations in men's rooms.

Do you agree with Chris Mau that it's about time every public facility installed a changing table in the men's restroom? If so, let us know your thoughts. Pass this story along to help raise awareness of this inequality issue.
