Friendly Dog With No Home Waits At Rest Stop To Be Rescued

Did you know that on many hot days stray dogs seek out parking areas including parking lots and bus stops to try and get rescued? That’s exactly what Maya did on one of the hottest days of the year.

Maya is an incredibly friendly dog that was thankfully found in decent health on the side of the road by the animal rescue group, Howl of a Dog.

Howl of a Dog had just delivered a sweet pup that had been rescued to her brand new home with a family that was looking to adopt a stray dog. They happened to look out at a local rest stop and see a homeless dog. It was a blazing hot day and the dog was clearly looking to be saved.

Dogs are very intuitive creatures, and they often wander into rest stops, bus stops, or other public high-traffic areas in the hopes of being rescued.

It was one of the hottest days of the summer and the dog, who is now named Maya, was just hoping that someone would save her, or at least give her some water on that hot day. Thankfully, Howl of a Dog team members happened to stop this loving, precious dog waiting all alone. They say she was so joyful and grateful for being saved and got along so well with all the other rescue dogs of all sizes. She became a caretaker of even the smallest puppies at the shelter and played gracefully with dogs much larger than her. Howl of a Dog team members say she’s very affectionate and just loves cuddling, now all she needs is a family to call her own.

Howl of a Dog is a small nonprofit animal rescue that relies completely on the generosity of donations to continue their work. There is a massive dog overpopulation in Romania that leads to a great deal of abandonment and lack of veterinary care and the funds to neuter, which only leads to more puppies being born that can’t be taken care of.

Here is precious Maya’s video from Howl of a Dog. She would be such a sweet pup to call your own! Wasn’t that smart of her to wait at a bus station? Please pass this story along so Maya’s chances of finding a forever home can increase even further!
