Four-year-old Caleigh Concannon found a man on the floor of the bathroom while volunteering at a service dog farm in Wapole, Massachusetts.

She told her mother a man was sleeping in the stall, and that’s what saved Michael Flynn’s life.

You won’t find a sweeter girl than Caleigh Concannon. She loves helping others, and she loves puppies. That’s why Caleigh convinced her mother that they should both volunteer at Golden Opportunities for Independence. It’s a well-known farm that’s dedicated to training service animals.

This service dog farm was created to give disabled Americans a lifelong friendship with a furry friend of their own to assist them. It’s a training facility, and it’s a dog-breeding farm. Caleigh spends her time helping take care of the puppies in the kennels, reports Scribol.

The Golden Opportunities for Independence farm is a great organization that focuses on helping others get the service dog they need. This farm only asks for a fraction of the actual cost of training. They work alongside the community to raise funds to pay for up to $35,000 of the actual costs, and they only ask for $5,000 per puppy to cover their operating costs, according to Ronproject.

Volunteers bring down a lot of the cost of each service dog. That’s why getting as much help as possible from people like Caleigh makes such a big difference on the farm. Caleigh went for a restroom break, and she found a man lying on the floor.

The little girl needed to take a quick bathroom break, and she told her mom that she’d be right back. She ran off down the hallway by herself because she’s very familiar with the facility. Her mother didn’t think anything of it until Caleigh came back. This cute little hero had found a man unconscious and she immediately jumped to action.

She ran back to her mother, and she told her that there was a man unconscious on the floor. Caleigh innocently thought that the man was taking a nap! That man was Michael Flynn, but he wasn’t sleeping! Flynn is the director of the farm’s operations, and he had collapsed from an epileptic seizure that could have taken his life.

The little hero knew something wasn’t right about the situation. She told authorities that her dad has diabetes, reports CBS Boston, and that’s why she knew to get help as soon as possible. Diabetes can cause a person to pass out, and she’s prepared to do the right thing under those circumstances. She realized that the man might be hurt.

Caleigh's mother got on the phone right away, and she called an ambulance.

Flynn is very aware of how helpful Caleigh is as a volunteer, but having her around to take care fo the puppies paid off for him! She saved his life, and she stopped a disaster from happening. That’s all thanks to her quick wit and her family’s thoughtful preparation for emergencies.

The Walpole County Police Department awarded the four-year-old with a Community Hero Certificate. Police Chief John Carmichael believes that the situation could have been much more terrible, and that little Caleigh is a valuable hero to the town. You can watch the video interview with Caleigh to see just how mature she is for a little kid!
