In this video from 2013, a group of young girls performs an Irish dance featured in the Lord of the Dance musical called Siamsa. Their on point dance moves and excellent interpretation of this wonderful piece of music is a joy to watch.

The girls start in a row and spread out, sometimes in pairs and sometimes dancing alone. Their movements are well-coordinated, and they appear to have trained for the dance numerous times before trying it on camera.

While they are in costume for their performance, the setting makes it clear this is no formal stage. It looks like the front hall of a small town performance hall or something similar.

The song these girls are dancing to is called Siamsa. Siamsa is among the songs used during the Lord of the Dance. The Lord of the Dance is a famous Irish musical choreographed, produced, and created by Michael Flatley. It’s about the battle for Planet Ireland between the Dark Enemy and the Lord of the Dance. While it does sound whimsical, the plot is actually derived from a mish-mash of classic Irish folk tales.

The song for the show was composed by Ronan Hardiman and has engaged audiences all over the world since 1996, when it was performed for the first time. Over the years, the show has toured to countries such as the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Israel, Japan, South Africa, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Chile, and much more.

Over 20 tracks are danced to and sung during the show, which is a hard task for dancers participating in the show.

Most people regard Siamsa as the most cheerful song in the entire show, as it contains the happiest and most joyous dance of all. "Siamsa," as is the song’s title, means "entertainment" in Irish, and is set between more tense moments of the play. It is not difficult to understand why viewers are so charmed by this video. In the clip, you can see that the girls do their best to give an outstanding performance. They show talent and most of all joy for the act of dancing. they literally can't keep from smiling at several points.

In the video, the music begins quickly, and the girls start with such speed and precision that it is a feast for the eyes. While some of the characteristics of this dance style seem to be a cross between ballet and tap dancing, true Irish dance is an original form. These young women’s talent has been well acknowledged and has garnered more than 4.3 million views on YouTube.

Due to the live music and rhythm, Siamsa has been chosen by many teachers for teaching their students a simplified version of the classic dance to play during school performances. The beautiful girls in this clip are dressed in traditional Irish clothing.

Finally, these amazing girls seem to be an inspiration to many teachers. They show that dedication to an art form makes success possible at any age.
