Four Loyal Geese Follow And Protect Grandmother

We've all heard about guard dogs, but have you considered having guard geese? One elderly lady has four big, beautiful geese that escort her and keep her safe! You can often find her strolling along with her beloved geese companions trailing behind her on a Korean farm in this Youtube video posted back in 2017.

How did this grandmother end up with feathered guardians? In the video she says,

"I had a brain hemorrhage operation three years ago so I couldn't speak for three months. Since living with the geese, I have nothing to worry about. I feel like I'm in heaven."

Most days at her home, the geese typically stay near the door or where they are stationed. They keep a watchful eye out for anything or anyone suspicious. The geese have been known to even chase off more than one stray dog.

Although they don't have designated stations when this happy lady is out and about, the geese stay close behind. They don't allow anyone to approach her without consent. If someone gets too close, such as an unlucky cameraman, the geese immediately charge toward them.

It's an impressive sight: wings spread out threateningly and honking loud enough to alert Grandma and any passersby. They really are an effective mobile security system! Unfortunately, the little guys can't always distinguish between a guest and a threat, so there has been more than one visitor who gets a bit more exercise than planned.

The geese even escort their charge during swims! Sometimes she will travel to the beach, and the geese waddle along right behind her. When she wades in, so do the geese! When the time comes to return home, she simply calls out to the birds and they hop right out to trail after her.

It is adorably clear that they are a sweet family that enjoys each other's company. Although some people might see honking guard geese as a nuisance, these geese have been welcomed into their local community. They even have their own sign near their cozy home, cautioning travelers to be on the lookout for this fabulous flock.

Clearly, these geese are the perfect guards for this Grandma, whether at home or on the go. What unusual guardian animals do you have? Tell us in the comments!
