The wildfires raging across the state of California have destroyed homes and put many lives at risk. In addition, the fires have endangered the lives of many innocent animals.

A new video from the 'Easy Fire' details the dramatic moment in which a horse is brought to safety on a highway yet turns around and gallops back to the burning stable to help the other trapped horses escape the fiery flames.

In October, the 'Easy Fire' in Simi Valley burned over 1,000 acres of land in just three hours. This area is home to many ranchers and their prized stallions. This video shows rescuers working against the clock to bring the horses to safety as the fire and smoke enveloped Tierra Rejada Road reports CBS.

The amazing clip shows a black horse leaving the safe place on the highway to run back to the ranch to guide two other horses to safety. One of the horses that the heroic animal saves is a young colt.

In addition to the acres of ranch land that the fire has destroyed, the flames also threatened the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. This estate includes important memorabilia and artifacts from his time in office, Reagan's Air Force One aircraft, and the burial grounds of the late president and his first lady, Nancy Reagan.

In a race to protect the library and all of its contents, helicopters dumped water and fire retardant on the grounds.

As for the horses that have been displaced as a result of the numerous fires across the region, the Los Angeles Animal Services Department said that homeless animals can be brought to the Hansen Dam stables for shelter. Currently, this stable in the San Fernando Valley is keeping more than 125 horses that have been evacuated as a result of the fires reports Reuters.

Now you can watch this hero of a horse in action. After you have watched this dramatic rescue, be sure to spread the clip to others that you know.
