Simon & Garfunkel's performance of Mrs. Robinson during their concert in Central Park in 1981 is considered to be the best show the duo ever put on.

In front of a huge crowd, the music duo performs their hit song from the film, The Graduate. For this particular performance, Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon add a keyboard and a saxophone to the mix for a slightly different take on the song.

About Simon & Garfunkel

Before coming back together for this one-of-a-kind performance in NYC's Central Park, the duo had split in 1970 (one of several breakups). This was only, though, after several years of providing music lovers with classics that are still popular today.

Other hits the twosome have recorded include Bridge Over Troubled WaterCecilia, The Boxer, and The Sound of Silence.

With 16 albums under their belt, Simon and Garfunkel originally met as children in 1953. By the time they were teenagers, they already had put out a record. According to music.co.nz, their original band name was Tom & Jerry.

This 1981 live concert was just one of many where fans crowded in to dance and sing along to the group's chart-topping hits. More than 500,000 people attended this free show in Central Park.
