Florida Police Discover Parrot Yelling "Let Me Out" After Neighbors Called 911

Home security footage in Florida shows police officers approaching a man working on his car in the driveway. Police officers approached the man's home after they got a call from a neighbor who apparently heard cries coming from the home. However it seemed the cries were coming from the man's pet parrot, Rambo.

In the video, the birds' owner can be heard saying, “Rambo, meet the boys in green," as he brought out the parrot to show the officers who the culprit was. The video was posted to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Facebook page. At the beginning of the clip, the pet's owner is fixing up a vehicle while Rambo's screeches can be heard in the background saying,  “Somebody help!”

The approaching officers told the owner “Your neighbor thinks there was screaming." Rambo's owner laughingly says, “I’ll bring the screamer to ya." The owner goes to fetch the lime-green 40-year-old parrot to show the officers.

“Our Deputies in Lake Worth Beach came to the help of someone screaming for help. Hilarity ensued,” the Palm Beach Country Sheriffs' office wrote on their post. The post said the owner had taught Rambo had to yell "help, help, let me out" when he was a kid and Rambo had to live in a cage.
