Florida Couple Discover They Were Preschool Sweethearts 30 Years Ago After Meeting On The Internet

Everyone wonders from time to time what happened to their puppy love from grade school. Most people don't put forth any great effort to uncover this mystery and, as a result, most people don't get any answers.
Justin Pounders fell into a similar category. Although he wondered about his childhood crush, he had no intention of actively searching for the answers. However, as fate would have it, the two met 30 years after their initial meeting in pre-school.
According to a report from People, Justin Pounders and Amy Giberson both unknowingly moved back to their hometown St. Petersburg, Florida. The two had known each other 30 years prior after attending Sunshine Preschool in the south Florida town. "They had a blast with each other,” said Diane Twar to People who was their former teacher at the preschool.
“It was a quiet, bashful romance. They liked each other from afar, it was a young love, like a sweet crush, you know? They insisted on sitting next to each other in our school picture.”

However, both grew up and moved away to other cities before returning back to their hometown 30 years later. Both single and looking for love they signed up on an online dating site. Justin told People what happened when he came across Amy's profile.
“I saw her photo and for whatever reason, was instantly drawn to her, she just had this great energy, you could tell. I can’t explain it, but I knew I had to get to know this girl.”
Justin casually mentioned that he used to have a crush in preschool on a girl named Amy as well. The two eventually made the connection that they had gone to the same preschool and wanted to double-check with their parents. Amy told People,
“We asked our parents to dig up any preschool photos they had. Justin’s mom found a photo of the two of us together and I just started crying, I was ecstatic. I was the Amy he had liked all those years ago! It was definitely meant to be.”
The couple happily married and feel their relationship was destined. “We’re doing everything backwards, but we don’t care. We’re best friends in love,” said Amy to People. “And apparently we always have been.” “It was meant to be,” Pounders added.
Amy sweetly wrote on an Instagram post of the couple, "You don't find love, it finds you," the photo is of Pounders and her sitting next to each other in their old school photo.
