A Five Guys manager is being praised on social media for his compassion in helping a sick customer.

Justin Hollon says that every customer of his restaurant in Detroit, Michigan, is special, but one patron, in particular, caught his attention earlier this week.

Justin had seen the elderly man, who uses a wheelchair, in his Five Guys before. This time, however, Justin noticed that the man seemed to be in distress. Having difficulty with his motor skills, the man struggled to place his order, telling Justin that he was not feeling well that day.

Justin immediately sought to help the man. Asking what toppings the man in the wheelchair wanted, Justin cooked him the restaurant’s famous All the Way Burger complete with fries and a soda. In an act of heartwarming generosity, Justin gave the sick man his meal for free. Expressing gratitude, the elderly man headed to a table where he then struggled to eat the burger. Seeing this, Justin again sprang into action.

Approaching the man’s table, he sat down and helped the disabled man feed himself. One of Justin’s employees, Lucretia Swellings, joined in helping the man with his meal even though her shift had just ended. Impressed by the team’s kindness, another patron took a few pictures of Justin and Lucretia helping the elderly man. After the images were posted to Facebook, Justin and Lucretia received praised for their compassion.

In an interview with Fox 2 News, Lucretia says that she felt good helping the disabled man, telling reporters how grateful he was for their assistance. When asked why he chose to help the man in the wheelchair, Justin said that he felt that it was important to show that people in the community care for one another. He also reminded people that every day our soldiers fight for our freedoms in far off lands.

To honor them, Justin feels that it is important to be kind to each other.
