A fire department has gone viral for its contribution to the "Git Up" challenge.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is a fire department in Florida. They're famous for their charitable efforts, and they have an annual campaign where they raise money for a good cause.

Last year, they decided to make a video for the Git Up challenge, with proceeds going to the United Way.

Check out their hot moves in this video.

For anyone who has been living under a rock, the Git Up challenge was Inspired by the country music singer Blanco Brown and his hit song "The Get Up," the challenge involves recreating the dance moves of the original videos. It has fun but simple choreography on top of a catchy beat, so it has spread like a fever across social media.

Many individuals have done it. There have also been group videos from students, nurses, athletic teams and police officers. An entire emergency room department did the dance in Utah!

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue decided to join the challenge as well, and they pulled out all stops. Not only did they learn the choreography, but they filmed and edited their efforts like a real music video, with extras and slow-mo shots. They performed in full uniform with suits, suspenders, helmets and gloves, but also offered glamorous close-ups and sweeping group shots.

They even played around with their status as rescue workers. One woman performed the dance with her leg in a brace. Another person grooved from a gurney with a baby in their arms as the firefighters got jiggy in perfect formation.

At the end of the video, the fire chief comes out of his office and demands to know what's going on. But that turns out to be a great gag...

"Carry on!" he shouts, and the firefighters continue their hoedown.

The video has been met with praise on social media.

"The best warm up to drill I've seen for a long time," said a member of a different fire and rescue service.

What do you think, readers? Do these firefighters have the moves? Is their dancing red-hot? Sound off in the comments!
