Hans Alcanzare understood how hard his mother worked since he was a little boy. Ever since Hans was six, his mother moved away from her home in the Philippines to Hong Kong in order to work as a maid. She knew that was the only way to support her children.

Teresa Alcanzare had seven children she needed to support. Instead of abandoning them, she left her children with her relatives as she worked overseas. Whenever Teresa felt discouraged, she remembered why she was working in Hong Kong.

She wanted to provide her kids with the best education and career options. Her children are currently a nurse, an urban planner, a teacher, a pharmacist, a civil engineer, a master plumber, and an accountant.

Hans decided that he wanted to repay his mother for everything she had done for him and his siblings. He planned a holiday tour that spanned across seven countries. They would travel to the countries she always wanted to visit.

Hans posted a picture with his mother in each new country. To top off this wonderful gesture, Teresa will finally be able to retire and come back to her home country. Her children decided it was finally time to bring their hard-working mother home.

Teresa was overwhelmed with joy at her new future. Her perseverance definitely paid off.
