Jul 09, 2020 by apost team

Walking out onto the stage, the audience immediately wondered what "talent" a group of fifth-grade boys would be performing in their local talent show. Sporting football jerseys and cheerleading skirts, these boys were not only brave enough to enter the school talent show but did so in an interesting outfit choice.

While practicing at home for hours in advance, nothing could have prepared these students for the crowd’s reaction to their fun-filled antics. Students Jenkins, Cale, Dennon, Tias, Cole, Liam, and Skyler from Jackson Elementary School were prepared to put on a show for all to see, in this video from 2016.

Setting the Stage

Filmed in 2016, the songs that were featured in this memorable performance were popular at the time and still live on as legends on the radio today. Kicking the act off by singing the infamous All I Do Is Win, these boys really got into it and the crowd responded with undeniable enthusiasm and energy. Waving their hands in the air, these seven boys kept going until they really got the audience worked up. Then, suddenly, the unexpected happened.

A Change in Direction

All of a sudden, an ode to the ladies came across the speakers. Beyoncé’s hit, Single Ladies, takes over the room. Getting down to Queen Bey looked rather natural for these fifth-grade boys, as they began to bust out some of her infamous dance moves from the music video. As the crowd breaks out in laughter, the boys feed off the energy. Proving to the audience that they are not just singers and dancers but comedians, as well, these boys are really getting into the song that is known for winning multiple Grammy Awards.

Is the "Party in the USA" or at Jackson Elementary?

As the show continues, it is evident that this performance is actually a mash-up of several different hit songs. Transitioning into Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus, the contestants begin to boogie to moves that are signature to this hit song. Shaking their hips and "dabbing," the crowd cannot help but give way to giggles and laughter at their hysterical dance attempts.

A True Dance Stage

Moving on to Meghan Trainor's hit song No, the boys began to dance ballet on stage. While it isn't their strong suit, this makes it all the more entertaining and funnier. Entering a romantic song with moves to match, the contestants are focused on winning the audience over with their repertoire of moves and song choices.

Time to Go "Bye Bye Bye"

Eventually, it is time for the boys to hand over the stage to other contestants. Ending with the infamous song Bye Bye Bye, these fifth-grade boys prepare to take a bow and exit the stage. Despite their hysterical performance, we must hand it to these fifth-grade boys for having the guts it takes to get up on stage and perform well.

Winners to Us

While we are not sure if this group of boys won the competition, they are winners in our hearts. Their dedication to showing the audience a good time showed through their attempts at making us laugh.
