It was way back in 2002 when Kelly Clarkson suddenly became a household name after winning the very first season of "American Idol." After being crowned the winner of the popular reality television singing competition, Clarkson went on to become an international pop star.

However, what loyal fans of Clarkson and "American Idol" did not see was Clarkson's first audition video. Because the show has to go through thousands of auditions, not all of the contestants make the cut to be put on the air.

We all know what happened when Clarkson advanced to the Hollywood portion of the competition, but how did it all get started?

Clarkson performed the songs " At Last" and "Express Yourself" for her first audition.

The performance received unanimous approval from judges Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson, earning Clarkson a coveted spot in the Hollywood round.

Kelly Clarkson has just one word for the judges when she hears the good news, "Score!"

The initial audition is nothing short of adorable. The perky personality that we have all come to love is apparent from the beginning when Clarkson even convinces Jackson that he should audition.

The judges clearly enjoyed joking around with Clarkson, telling her that she can go to Hollywood if she goes outside of the room and tells host Ryan Seacrest that he needs to fix his hair highlights. Clarkson obliges and then she is on her way to stardom.

If you are a fan of Clarkson, you have got to see this video! After you have seen where it all began, be sure to spread the bubbly joy to everyone else that you know.
