Father Unexpectedly Passes Away Just Days Before Daughter’s Wedding, Leaves Behind Poignant Letter For Her

It’s never easy to go through the grieving process of losing someone you love. This is a challenging time filled with many emotions as people reflect on all of the wonderful memories they shared with their loved one. It’s heartbreaking knowing that they won’t be at special events in the future, and most people would give anything to have just one more conversation with that person they lost.

Ally was in the process of making the final touches on her wedding when she received the sad news that her father, Paul, had passed away. He was going to be the one to walk her down the aisle. It was just days before the wedding, and the family was devastated.

Still, they went ahead with the planned wedding and had a beautiful ceremony and reception, making sure to keep Paul’s memory alive and with them. He even left something behind for his beautiful daughter: a letter that she would be able to cherish forever.

Paul had previously written his speech that he planned on delivering at the wedding reception, marveling at all of the wonderful memories he had of his daughter and his son-in-law named Derek. 

In an incredibly heartwarming and emotional moment, Ally’s mother read the letter that Paul had left behind in front of everyone at the newlyweds’ wedding, tugging at the heartstrings of everyone in the room. The beautiful moment was captured by Revelations Videos and was shared in 2018, resonating with hundreds of thousands of people as they spread Paul’s final letter as far as possible.

Although Ally’s late father physically couldn’t be at her wedding, he left behind a heartwarming letter filled with all of the love he had to offer. Revelations Video captured the emotional moment Ally’s mother put on Paul’s bowtie and read his letter out loud for everyone in the room to hear. It was a letter full of light, love and laughter, and gave a final blessing to Ally and Derek as they embarked on their life together.

Throughout the letter, Paul had written how much he anticipated seeing Ally graduate from college and get married, and how he couldn’t believe all of the amazing things she had accomplished. It was clear that he was incredibly proud of his daughter and loved her dearly.

At the end of the letter, Paul wrote:

“I would like to make a toast. May your lives together have many sunny days and that your anchors are strong enough to hold you steady in life’s storms. I give you my wholehearted blessing, best wishes, congratulations. We love you both.”

It was a moment that left Ally’s mother choked up, and the newlyweds and several of their guests quickly began to get tears in their eyes. The wedding footage touched the lives of many as it was seen by more than 1.9 million people who left several positive comments.

One person said, “Wow. I’m sobbing, that must have been the hardest thing for her to lose her dad suddenly just a few days before her wedding. Her mom did an amazing job even wearing the bowtie.” Another person said, “His advice was so wise. We cannot go through life without storms. Storms are what make the rainbows more beautiful.”
