Father Saves Entire Family After Pulling Sleeping Children And Their Mom From Flames Of House Fire

A father's love knows no bounds. As told by the NBC Miami,  Ryan Rich proved this on the night of February 2 when he saved his entire family from the horrors of a burning apartment.

It was shortly after 11 pm when Rich arrived home from work. As he was walking up to his Pompano Beach, Florida apartment, he heard cries in the distance pleading for help. It was then that Rich realized that the screams were coming from his girlfriend.

 Rich arrived to see his girlfriend clutching their three-month-old baby, Olivia. Unfortunately, there were three more children still trapped in the burning apartment.

Rich's parental instincts kicked in and he rushed into the burning building. He found Jaryah, 6, Mariah, 2, and Jayden, 1, all still asleep in their bedroom. It was then that Rich noticed the flames coming out of the air conditioning unit, dangerously close to his daughter's bunk bed. 

The terrified father woke all of his children and safely ushed them out of their home. Rich was able to do all of this before first responders even arrived on the scene.

“Just being a father, I did what any father would do,” Rich told NBC Miami

The entire family was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. Sadly, the family lost all of their personal belongings in the blaze. Fortunately, the American Red Cross of South Florida stepped up and provided assistance to the family to help them get back on their feet.

Rich brushes off claims that he is a hero. He said that he did what any other father would do when faced with a life-threatening situation like that. The Pompano Beach Fire investigators are still looking into the cause of the blaze. The family has started a GoFundMe page to try getting back on their feet.
