Father Attends Late Daughter's Graduation And Accepts High Honors Awards On Her Behalf

There was not a dry eye in the room when Allyza Marie Tecson graduated from high school.

Art Tecson Jr. had dreams of watching his daughter stroll across the stage and accept her diploma at her high school graduation. Sadly, that dream never came true. Allyza's life was tragically cut short when she passed away as a result of complications from dengue on March 15.

Allyza was a high-achieving student. She was on track to graduate with High Honors and had dreams of becoming a flight attendant one day.

Even after being admitted to the hospital to receive treatment for her illness, the studious young woman remained committed to her studies. She did her best to complete all of her school work so that she would stay on track to graduate with stellar grades.

Allyza's family was devastated when she lost her battle and passed away. Her father was especially heartbroken since he was away working in Saudi Arabia when he lost his daughter.

After learning that his beloved daughter would receive High Honors from the Senior High School Department of Asian College of Technology – Bulacao Campus, Art made the decision to attend the graduation and accept the diploma on his daughter's behalf.

The family brought along a framed graduation picture of Allyza in order to honor her memory. It was truly a bittersweet moment for the entire family as Allyza was presented with her diploma, ending her high school journey.
