Father And Daughter Duo Grab Mics At Karaoke Machine Leaving Mall Crowd Stunned

But there are occasions when someone comes on stage and sings a song the right way. That was the case when a father and daughter decided to perform “The Prayer” at an electronics store.

The song The Prayer was written by David Foster and sung by Céline Dion and Andrea Bocelli. It was originally released as a solo track for the movie Quest for Camelot, according to Songfacts. Both Celine and Andrea sang it separately but when they got together, it became a hit for millions of people.

Their performance received a nomination for an Academy Award as the Best Original Song in 1999. Later in 2000, the song received a Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. In the opening scene, the daughter is already singing the first few lines of the song. They were on a shopping trip when they came upon a karaoke machine in the electronics area and decided to sing.

People decided to stop and listen when the young girl started singing. Her voice is of an angel and every word she sang was perfect. You can see her father on the side smiling ear-to-ear.

Soon after, her father steps in and you can see where she got her vocal abilities. The father’s voice is extremely rich and has refreshing overtones. As the pair continues to sing, the song improves significantly.
