The employees of a fast-food restaurant got quite a surprise when a traffic warden brought in a baby found abandoned near the restaurant. Although the staff was shocked by the discovery, they sprang into action to take care of the baby boy.

Jollibee Burger and Fried Chicken is a fast food chain in the capital city of Imus in the Philippines. Once the abandoned baby was brought inside the restaurant, several of the employees did everything they could to take care of him until authorities from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) arrived.

In addition to securing diapers to change the baby, one employee even went so far as to breastfeed the abandoned infant.

Their efforts were chronicled by an employee named Jesica Tan Verano, who posted pictures on Facebook about the baby boy which quickly accrued more than 100,000 likes. One photo shows the tiny baby surrounded by three smiling female employees.

Jesica also included a caption asking how anyone could walk away from such an adorable infant and expressing interest in adopting the abandoned baby boy.

The employees reported that the baby must have been born very recently because there was still blood visible on his head. Authorities are making an effort to identify the birth mother, but so far they have been unsuccessful.

Although it is sad to imagine a tiny infant being left alone in a parking lot, it is inspiring to see the outpouring of support he has received.
